So far this year the UFC has not returned to Abu Dhabi, the home of their business partners ‘Flash Entertainment’, but it seems that they may yet make it there before the year ends.

At today’s UFC 133 pre-fight press conference Dana White revealed that in a buck from tradition the UFC’s New Year’s Eve show will not take place in Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi is top of the list to host it instead.

White describes the chances of the event being hosted there as “better than 50-50.”

The promotion made their debut in the region last year and are keen to make amends after the show failed to live up to expectations with the main event turning out to be a farcial title fight between Anderson Silva and Demian Maia that featured little in the way of action and left Dana White furious.
