Spike TV today released the viewing figures for this past Wednesday’s double-bill which featured UFC Fight Night 21 followed by the season premiere of The Ultimate Fighter 11.

The results show UFN 21 drew 1.6 million viewers, peaking at 2 million for the main attraction between Kenny Florian and Takanori Gomi. The event claimed the No.1 spot in it’s time-slot for male viewers aged between 18-34 and 18-49.

Those figures are roughly in line with what you would expect from a Fight Night card on Spike, with a peak of 2 million also being recorded for UFN 20’s headline bout between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard back in January.

Meanwhile TUF 11’s season premiere pulled in 1.9 million viewers – again around about what you’d expect from the show these days.  Of course last season saw unprecedented ratings, with 4.1 million tuning into the opening episode to see Kimbo Slice, but it was always understood that those kind of figures were a one-off for the show.
