UFC Fight Night 38 Medical Suspensions

The medical report from UFC Fight Night 38 is in and show that defeated headliner Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua was one of only two fighters who required a full 6 month suspension as a result of the injuries he sustained during his fight with Dan Henderson.

‘Shogun’ badly broke his nose after a huge ‘H-Bomb’ blow from Henderson and will have to undergo surgery to repair the damage.

The only other fighter on a 180 day suspension i Michel Prazeres who’s believed to have broken his right hand after a decision victory on the night.

Michel Prazeres: suspended 180 days or until cleared by a orthopedic doctor with an X-ray of right hand
Mairbek Taisumov: suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact
Rony Jason: suspended 14 days with seven days no contact
Steven Siler: suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact
Thiago “Marreta” Santos: suspended 14 days with seven days no contact
Ronny Markes: suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact
Jussier Formiga: suspended 14 days with seven days no contact
Scott Jorgensen: suspended 14 days with seven days no contact
Kenny Robertson: suspended 14 days with seven days no contact
Thiago Perpetuo: suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact
