Prelims:

Jared Rosholt defeats Daniel Omielanczuk by unanimous decision (30-27 x3)

Rosholt used his wrestling to completely smother Omielanczuk for the best part of 15 minutes in this entirely forgettable heavyweight encounter.

Thales Leites defeats Trevor Smith by TKO at 0.45mins of Rd1

Leites gets the job done early here, and it was the right hook that proved to be the key to his victory. He first landed a glancing blow with it that backed up Smith, then pursued him and unleashed another that didn’t quite hit the mark, but another following swiftly behind it landed clean to the chin and dropped Smith to the mat. Leites was instantly on him landing rapid-fire ground and pound to seal the TKO win.

Jim Alers defeats Alan Omer by split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29)

Close, competitive fight here both on the mat and on the feet between two men eager to get a win in their UFC debuts, but it’s Alers who gets the nod from two of the three judges to seal the victory.

Johnny Bedford Vs Rani Yahya declared a no-contest at 0.39mins of Rd1

Blisteringly fast finish here, but unfortunately it came about due to a clash of heads. It was Yahya who came off worst from it, slumping to the mat completely dazed. Bedford fared better and attempted to continue fighting and he did land a punch while standing over Yahya, but by that stage the referee had already stepped in to end the fight. Bedford reeled off to celebrate and was all smiles until the official ‘no-contest’ ruling was announced. Bedford appeared irate at the decision, but perhaps in hindsight he’ll reflect that an accidental headbutt is no way to win a fight.
