UFC Fight Night 40 on FOX Sports 1 this past Saturday night was watched by an average of 655,000 viewers.
That’s down 281,000 viewers from UFC Fight Night 38 (UFN 39 aired on Fight Pass), placing it seventh out of the 11 Fight Night show on FS1 so far.
It’s an underwhelming number, but in all fairness, on paper this didn’t look like a must-see event.
However, it proved to be entertaining, particularly the main event between Matt Brown and Erick Silva which ended up being one of the fights of the year so far and propelled ‘The Immortal’ into the title mix at 170lbs.
