UFC Fight Night 49 Bonus Awards

Following UFC Fight Night 49 last night in Oklahoma the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

As was the case for UFC Fight Night 48 earlier in the day, on this occasion the usual ‘Fight Of The Night’ bonus was cast aside in favor of four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards.

Rafael dos Anjos earned one for his upset KO victory against former lightweight champion Ben Henderson in the main event of the evening.

Jordan Mein also banked an extra $50,000 after he stopped Mike Pyle by TKO in just 72 seconds in the co-main event.

Thales Leites aggressive approach on the feet paid off, earning him a knockout win over Francis Carmont in the early stages of the second round.

Finally, Ben Saunders made history in his return to the UFC, becoming the first ever fighter to win by omaplata in the Octagon, tapping out Chris Heatherly less than half way through the first round.
