Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 55 event in Sydney, Australia the recipients of the evenings $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the main card scrap between Robert Whittaker and Clint Hester which proved to be a back and forth battle until the Australian stepped on the gas and took out his opponent with a well placed knee and a flurry of punches.
Luke Rockhold earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award for his second round submission finish – by one armed guillotine – against Michael Bisping in the main event of the evening.
Louis Smolka also picked up a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award after enduring a a substantial amount of punishment at the hands of Richie Vaculik, before landing a side kick to the face in the opening seconds of the final round followed by punches on the ground to secure a TKO victory.
