Jake Matthews defeats Vagner Rocha by submission (Rear-naked choke) at 1.52mins of Rd2

Big wins for Matthews who first hurt Rocha with a superman punch, then bundled him to the canvas and locked in the rear-naked choke as his opponent tried to scramble back to his feet. Rocha was caught by surprised, rolled onto his knees trying to escape, but ended up getting choked unconscious.

Anthony Perosh defeats Guto Inocente by submission (rear-naked choke) at 3.46mins of Rd1

The fighters appear determined not to give the judges anything to do tonight, which is just fine with everybody watching. This time it was Australia’s own Anthony Perosh who was getting the fight over and done with quickly, taking Innocente to the ground, staying heavy on top and working his way to a rear-naked choke finish.

Louis Smolka defeats Richie Vaculik by TKO at 0.18mins of Rd3

Wow, good fight. For two rounds Vaculik had a clear edge in the striking and was repeatedly tagging Smolka with hard shots. Smolka’s tough though and kept coming forward and despite coming off second best was also proving to be an offensive threat. Then in the opening seconds of the final round the fight turned on it’s head with Smolka landing a side kick to the face that rocked Vaculik. As he dropped to the mat Smolka was quickly on him with more punches and forced a TKO stoppage.

Chris Clements defeats Vik Grujic by TKO at 3.06mins of Rd1

Another first round finish! Clements banged his knee off Grujic’s chin while pressed against the cage, forcing him to hit reverse gear on wobbly legs. Clements chased after him and landed a vicious serious of full power right hooks that sunk Grujic to the canvas and earned Clements a TKO victory.

Daniel Kelly defeats Luke Zachrich by submission (kimura) at 4.27mins of Rd1

Nice debut for Australia’s own Kelly in his UFC debut, tagging Zachrich with strikes to the face in the early going, then landing a takedown and working for a kimura submission to force the tap.

Marcus Brimage defeats Jumabieke Tuerxun by KO at 2.58mins of Rd1

Brimage gets the night off to a great start with a head kick mid-way through the opening round of the event opener knocking out Jumabieke Tuerxun.
