UFC Fight Night 61 TV Ratings

UFC Fight Night 61 in Porto Alegre, Brazil was watched by an average of 1.2 million viewers this past Sunday night on FOX Sports 1.

That’s up 287,000 viewers from UFC Fight Night 60: Henderson Vs Thatch just over a week earlier, good going for a card that didn’t have much hype behind it all.

Even the prelims did solidly with 813,000 viewers tuning in despite an undercard with no real star power.

The event did have a heavyweight bout between two familiar names in Frank Mir and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, but both men were heading into this fight off the back of long losing streaks.

The show proved to be quite memorable, largely due to the fact that an unprecedented 10 fights in a row were all won by underdogs which left some bookmakers suffering heavy losses on the night.

The UFC have been on a good run ratings wise since the turn of the year, breaking the million barrier on a number of occasions and they’ll be hoping that continues on Saturday night when the UFC 184 prelims air on Fox Sports 1 with Mark Munoz’s return to action against Roan Carneiro set to serve as the lead-in to the main card which airs on pay-per-view.
