UFC Fight Night 62 Bonuses

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 62 event in Brazil the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

On this occasion four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards were handed out starting with one for Gilbert Burns who looked to be losing his fight with Alex Oliveira before pulling off a late third round armbar to turn things around.

Godofredo Pepey produced the evening’s most impressive submission as he caught Andre Fili off-guard in the opening round with a flying triangle choke and fought to keep a hold of it until the tapout.

Kevin Souza claimed a KO victory against Katsunori Kikuno courtesy of a straight right that dropped him to the mat just 91 seconds into the fight.

And finally, also picking up a performance bonus was Fredy Serrano who opened up the evening’s entertainment with a huge third round uppercut that took out Bentley Syler.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
