The UFC today announced a new pre and post-fight internet show entitled ‘UFC Central’ which will premiere at this weekend’s UFC 129 event in Toronto, Canada.
The show will be anchored by former WEC commentator Todd Harris alongside Molly Qerim, with Kenny Florian and Stephan Bonnar in place as analysts.
The pre-fight edition of ‘UFC Central’ will air at 8pm Eastern Time via ufc.tv, with a post-fight show airing directly after the event with analysis, post-fight interviews and more.
Interestingly that means that the show will go head-to-head with it’s own UFC 129 prelim special on Spike TV which will air two fights for free prior to the main card on pay-per-view.
The UFC aren’t the first to try out the pre / post fight format for their major shows, with both ESPN2’s MMA Live show, and Versus having both experimented with the format in the past.
