A cracking lightweight contest between top contenders Ben Henderson and Clay Guida is being lined up for the first ‘UFC On FOX’ event on November 12th according to MMAweekly.

The fight had at one stage been suggested as a potential co-main event fight to feature on the one hour live show on FOX, but due to the UFC’s decision to hold a five round title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos during that time slot there’s simply not room.

So Henderson Vs Guida will not air live, but nevertheless this is a shrewd move by the UFC. FOX have already indicated that if the title fight ends quickly then they will either show one of the evening’s earlier fights, or a highlights package from the nights action.

If they decide to show a fight then you can almost bet that it’ll end up being this one as it has ‘Fight Of The Night’ written all over it.

It’s also a bout with real significance as it’s expected that the winner will go on to fight for the title in 2012.
