Fuel TV hosted the live preliminary card prior to ‘UFC On FOX 4’ on Saturday night and drew record ratings with an average of 194,000 viewers watching the fights.

That’s up 29,000 from the previous best for Fuel TV’s prelim coverage which came for the TUF: Live Finale. In fact the show also outdid the live ‘UFC On Fuel TV 3’ main card from back in May which only managed 173,000.

It’s another sign that UFC fans are getting used to the fact that they can usually catch the prelims on the channel, and comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s news from Fuel TV that July was their most watched month ever.

There’s still a long way to go before Fuel can compete with the kind of numbers that the UFC has enjoyed on Spike TV in years gone by, but after the disappointment of the main ‘UFC On FOX 4’ card doing only 2.44million viewers it’s nice to have some positive news to share.
