The UFC have announced that they will host an event in at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia on May 15th.

While it has yet to be confirmed all indications are that this will be third FX card of the year, and will follow hot on the heels of ‘UFC ON FOX 3’ which goes down on May 5th.

Just one fight has so far been earmarked for the show, with middleweights Tom Lawlor and Jason MacDonald having been signed up to fight, but higher profile match-ups should follow in the coming months.

‘UFC On FX 1’ aired this past Friday night and drew an average of 1.3 million viewers which is lower than would have been expected from a ‘Fight Night’ style card on Spike TV, but the expectation is that the numbers will grow as more people become aware that FOX / FX and Fuel TV are the new television homes of the UFC.

The next FX card is scheduled for March 3rd with Thiago Alves and Martin Kampmann on headline duties.
