UFC On FX 3: TV Ratings

The live broadcast of ‘UFC On FX 3’ this past Friday night drew an average of 1.1 million viewers on the channel.

That’s the lowest ratings so far for a ‘UFC On FX’ show with the first having been watched by 1.3 million viewers and the second by 1.4 million.

Meanwhile an audience of just 84,000 tuned into the live preliminary card of Fuel TV. Again that’s the lowest ratings for a prelim broadcast proceeding a ‘UFC On FX’ show.

On reflection it’s quite possible that the main event, a semi-final rematch between Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall didn’t grab the public’s attention in the same way that the previous two shows headliners, Melvin Guillard Vs Jim Miller and Martin Kampmann Vs Thiago Alves respectively, did.

In general it was a show that was light on star power and a number of the prelims were poor, but the main card did deliver a number of good fights and a potential star of the future in the Brazilian Erick Silva.
