Saturday night’s UFC On Versus 6: Cruz Vs Johnson event drew an average of 789,000 viewers on the Versus network according to figures released today.

That makes it the third most watched show on Versus since the UFC first began broadcasting live events on the network in March of last year, and is up 23,000 from August’s Hardy vs Lytle card.

Despite putting on a featherweight title fight between Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson the event couldn’t attract the numbers that are usually seen on the UFC’s live event brodcasts on rival channel Spike TV however which regularly fall draw in the region of 1.5 – 2 million viewers.

This was the UFC’s last offering on Versus before they move over to FOX, with smaller shows like this likely to feature on the FX channel from the beginning of 2012.
