In the past couple of months the UFC have aired live prelims on UFC.com, ION, and this coming Saturday night on Facebook, but it appears likely that normal service will resume on Spike TV for UFC 126.
In total Spike has aired 13 hour long preliminary shows since late 2009, and they are now in advanced negotiations with the UFC to return for their first offering of 2011 on February 5th with a pair of high quality bouts.
The first features WEC star Donald Cerrone making his UFC debut against the UK’s Paul Kelly. The show will also feature another product of the WEC, Chad Mendes against Japanese favorite Michihiro Omigawa who returns to the UFC after a three year absence.
The prelims show will lead directly into the main card on pay-per-view which is set to be one of the biggest events of the year featuring Anderson Silva Vs Vitor Belfort, Forrest Griffin Vs Rich Franklin and Jon Jones Vs Ryan Bader.
