UFC Results: Thiago Silva KO’s Rafael ‘Feijao’ With First Round Uppercut

Thiago Silva got the better of Rafael ‘Feijao’ tonight at ‘UFC On Fuel TV 10’ in Brazil by knockout after a first round slug-fest.

Both men look to stand and trade in the early stages of the first round. ‘Feijao’ already unleashing some heavy punches, while Silva’s throwing some kicks.

Nice combination of punches from ‘Feijao’ and he’s looked the more dangerous so far.

‘Feijao’ works a nice punch to the body, but soon after Silva lands a solid flurry of strikes – his best action so far.

Spinning elbow from ‘Feijao’ makes an impression and Silva hits reverse gear, but only briefly before he opts to bite down on his gumshield and return fire.

Silva still looking to initiate the exchanges, moving forward with bad intentions and really starting to load up on his punches. He’s definitely up for this fight.

‘Feijao’s’ own output is slowing down and that seems to give Silva confidence. He stalks forward and unleashes a big combination of punches down the pipe that stuns Fejiao before following up with a crushing uppercut that floors his opponent, and it’s all over with less than a minute of the first to go!

This was a big win for Silva who’s time in the UFC over the past few years has been marred by injuries and steroid suspensions. Hopefully this is a sign that he’s finally getting his career back on track and that he’s still got something to offer in the upper reaches of the light-heavyweight divison.
