Yesterday the UFC announced a new TV deal with ‘Fox Sports Latin America’ that will see their live and archived events aired throughout the Latin American region, excluding Brazil which already has a different deal in place.

That means the promotion has extended their broadcasting reach to a further 29 million homes in 18 different Spanish speaking markets.

“We felt the time was right to expand in Latin America,” UFC president Dana White stated. “We launched with Globosat in Brazil in 2008 and saw the popularity for the sport to explode. We knew we had millions of fans in Latin America and wanted to give them access to content and programming developed exclusively for them.”

The deal will begin immediately and include this weekend’s UFC 133: Evans Vs Ortiz event.
