UFC hall-of-famer Matt Hughes generally leads a quiet life outside of the Octagon which makes a new report alledging that he was recently caught up in a bar room scuffle all the more surprising.
TMZ reports that the former UFC welterweight champion attended the Trails End Bar And Grill on April 23rd where he got into an arguement with another customer.
That lead to what is described as “forceful shoving” between the two, which resulted in the UFC star pushing the man into a woman who suffered a broken nose in the collision.
It’s unclear at this stage whether any formal charges will be pressed, but Hughes is believed to be under police investigation.
So far Hughes has not commented on the situation. The latest post on his own website is dated April 28th, and confirms that he will be fighting Diego Sanchez in September.
