UFC Targets Five Events In Canada Next Year

Canada continues to be one of the UFC’s most important destinations and as such the fans there can look forward to as many as five events heading their way in 2013.

That’s the word from UFC’s Canadian Director Tom Wright who tells UFC Central Radio recently that the region is certain to have, “at least four shows.”

Annual visits to Montreal and Toronto account for two of them, but Wright indicates there may be a couple of unexpected destinations on tap as well.

“There’s going to be at least two cities that may surprise a few people when we come out with our schedule and right now we’re looking at an additional three. So a total of five events in Canada for 2013.”

If that proves to be true then it’s a significant increase from this year which will see three shows in total: UFC 149: Faber Vs Barao in Calgary, UFC 152: Jones Vs Belfort in Toronto, and next month’s UFC 154: GSP Vs Condit event in Montreal.
