The UFC are set to expand their reach in the UK in 2011 with the news that Scotland will play host to the UFC Fight Night 25 event In May.

The news was revealed today by Dana White following the UFC 124 pre-fight press conference. It’s believed that the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, which can accommodate and audience of 4,000 has been targeted for the show.

At the recent UK fan expo White had hinted that Scotland was a likely destination for the UFC in 2011, revealing that he is constantly bombarded with questions from Scottish fans asking when they will be traveling north of the border.

Scottish fans are well known for their passionate and vocal support at sporting events and will almost certainly help to spice up the event, and bring a unique atmosphere to the UFC Fight Night series which have traditionally been held in North America.
