Last night’s TUF 14 premiere drew an average of 1.5 million viewers on Spike TV, garnering a 1.1 household rating.
It was also the No.1 most watched cable program amongst men aged 18-34 and 18-49 in it’s timeslot, and the No.2 most watched program all day on cable for 18-49 year old males.
The numbers are solid, but not spectacular given that TUF 13 also pulled in 1.5 million for it’s season opener and yet went on to be a ratings flop as it progressed.
Based on last night’s two hour debut episode that shouldn’t be the case on the 14th season however as every single elimination fight was top notch as the bantamweight and featherweight fighters showcased their skills to great effect.
With outspoken coaches Michael Bisping and Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller also on-board this has all the makings of being a memorable season and so hopefully fans will get behind it.
