Urijah Faber Talks About His Defeat To Jose Aldo And What His Future Holds

The day after his defeat to Jose Aldo, WEC star Urijah Faber discussed the fight, his injured leg and what the future holds for him with Carmichael Dave.

Here’s a few of his key thoughts from the interview.

On The Leg Kicks:  “I did my best out there.  I was in a lot of pain man to be honest with you,” he admits.  “His leg kicks are deceiving man, it feels like I was getting hit with a bat.  That’s the first time I’ve really been punished with those.”

On Not Quitting: “I could have probably copped out in the crucifix and just kind of lay there and let the ref stop it, but I just heard the crowd going and I could hear the countdown, you know the time and stuff like that, and I just wanted to give myself another chance.”

In A Possible Switch To Bantamweight: “You know I’m in no rush right now to decide what I’m going to do.  There’s plenty of big fights for me out there.  I don’t by any means want to try and be the 135lb champion right now – I’ve got my boy Joseph (Benavidez) down there.  Let him run his course and see what happens.  I’ve got a lot of fights, I just don’t know where I’m gonna go.”
