Back in October of last year UFC heavyweight Cain Velasquez was the name on everyone’s lips as he steamrollered over the top of Brock Lesnar just as he had done to his previous seven opponents to claim the heavyweight title.
A serious rotator cuff injury shortly thereafter meant he’s spent the best part of a year on the sidelines however, but the good news is that he’s now back to full fitness, and we’ve got the footage to prove it.
In the videos below Velasquez is filmed working out at Joe Grasso’s Elite Training facility, and on this evidence he’s still the freak of nature that his training partners and coaches have always claimed him to be.
Any fears that he may be suffering lingering effects from his shoulder injury and surgery are quickly dismissed when you see him hulking up the largest kettlebell in existence (203lbs) for 25 reps.
Not content with just that we’re then witness to him doing 50 reps with a 300lb leg extension. According to Grasso by the time his fight with Junior Dos Santos comes around he’ll be doing the same thing for 100 reps.
Craziness. See these and more videos from his workout below.
