Good news today for UK MMA fans – Virgin Media have finally struck a three-year deal with BT Sport which means that customers will have access to the UFC’s live events from this moment forward.

Even better, if you are a ‘TV XL’ customer with Virgin then you’ll get the sports channel at no extra cost, though those on ‘M’, ‘M+’ or ‘L’ packages will have to pay £15 a month.

It’s likely that a deal was struck at this stage as the English soccer season is just about to start this weekend, but for UFC fans it means that everyone now has access to the channel ahead of this weekend’s ‘UFC On FOX Sports 1’ event, AKA ‘UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun Vs Sonnnen.

As well as live events BT Sport will also be broadcasting all the UFC’s other programming including the upcoming 18th season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ reality show.

So to recap, if you are a SKY customer or on one of Virgin’s lower end packages you can pay to get BT Sport, and if you are either a BT Broadband subscriber or on Virgin’s ‘XL’ package then you get it for free.
