After spending the best part of the past year on the sidelines due to knee surgery, there’s finally light at the end of the tunnel for Wanderlei Silva, and he could be stepping into the Octagon before long.

In a new video Silva admits that he still feels a little pain from the knee, but after a visit to the doctor it’s established that this is due to tendonitis rather than anything more serious, and he could be back to full training within 4-6 weeks.

I’m not sure if Silva heard him right or not though, because for the rest of the video he looks as if he’s going at it full bore in the gym, as he spars with Fabricio Werdum, gets trained by Rafael Cordeiro and rolls with Joao Assis.

Still, he seems to be enjoying himself, and hopefully he can spice up the UFC’s middleweight division in the near future.
