After finishing a year-long stint in jail on an assault charge former TUF star War Machine is finally getting ready to step back into the cage.
Currently his first bout is scheduled to be on October 15th in Chicago when he’ll take on another former TUF competitor Gideon Ray (18-12-1).
A little over a month later on November 26th he then faces an even bigger challenge when he takes on another UFC veteran Roger Huerta for a Texas based promotion.
It looks like a tough line-up for him given that following his release from jail in July he confessed that he wasn’t in the best shape and felt very rusty in the gym when sparring.
With that in mind I expected him to take a tune-up fight first, but I wouldn’t exactly describe either of these as that.
Still, the Huerta fight in particular should generate some interest from hardcore fans and a win would certainly put him back on the MMA map.
