Just a couple of hours ago the UFC 142: Aldo Vs Mendes pre-fight press conference aired in Brazil, and if you missed it you can check it out in full via the video below.

Keynotes:

– Jose Aldo said he’ll leave it to his team to decide when the time is right to move up to 155lbs.

– Chad Mendes claims he’s feeling no added nerves fighting for the title in front of Aldo’s home fans, and jokes that he doesn’t understand Portugese anyway.

Mendes also made it clear he has every intention of using his wrestling to overcome Aldo’s striking and BJJ abilities.

– Anthony Johnson appeared to be delighted to be in Brazil and has had a great time there so far and been welcomed by the fans.

He also commented that he was not afraid of Vitor Belfort, and quipped that his strategy for the fight was called, “get it done.”

– Belfort spoke a lot about the growth of the sport in Brazil and described himself and many of the other famous Brazilian fighters of his day as pioneers.

He said that he lives by his principles rather than being motivated purely by money.
