The UFC have just released a stellar new Ronda Rousey promo video for her next fight against Holly Holmy at UFC 193 next month which you can watch below.
If you needed further proof that Rousey has become a mainstream star and indeed a cultural icon then consider the fact that this promo was unveiled exclusively on famed comedian, actress and talk-show host Ellen Degenres own website and Tweeted out to her staggering 48 million Twitter followers.
“Girls can grow up to be anything they want,” Ellen wrote. “Just look at my friend, UFC fighter @RondaRousey.”
The promo itself plays out almost like a trailer for Rousey’s upcoming biopic ‘My Life/Your Life’ showing her in situations throughout her life played by a series of young lookalike actresses. It’s a high class production and ranks alongside the UFC 189: Aldo Vs McGregor promo as the best the UFC have ever produced.
No doubt it won’t have come cheap, but it’s almost certain to have been worth it with the UFC hoping to fill the Etihad stadium in Melbourne, Australia with a record breaking 60,000+ fans and hopes high that the sport’s biggest star can once again help propel an event up towards the 1 million pay-per-view barrier.
