The UFC will break new ground on Thursday when ‘UFC Live 3: Sanchez Vs Kampmann’ (AKA UFC On Versus 3) airs live in 3D.

Viewers with 3D TV capabilities will be able to watch the show through a number of different 3D Channels such as Comcast XNFINITY.

In addition there will be a separate commentary stream for the 3D-telecast, with former WEC commentator Todd Harris joining Kenny Florian.

If you don’t have a 3D-capable TV then don’t worry, the normal 2D broadcast with the usual commentary team of Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg will be available on Versus.

“We’re really excited to start broadcasting UFC events in 3D,” UFC President Dana White said in a press release today. “UFC is ahead of the curve when it comes to introducing new technology, and we think UFC fans will really enjoy seeing fights in 3D.”
