They said it was impossible to stop The Korean Zombie, but George Roop proved otherwise at WEC 51 this evening.

The opening round was tentative as Roop got on his bike and used his reach advantage to keep the Zombie at bay.

The real action came in the second though when Chan Sung Jung paid the price for keeping his hands low as Roop launched a left head kick that connected cleanly with the Zombie’s chin and put him to sleep before he hit the canvas.

And so sadly the hype surrounding the Korean following his remarkable three round war with Leonard Garcia comes to an abrupt halt, leaving him 0-2 in the WEC and 10-3 in his career to date.

As for Roop, he just added a picture perfect KO (the first of his career) to his highlight reel, produced the biggest win of his patchy pro-record to go 11-6-1 and is surely a lock for the KO Of The Night bonus.
