Coming off of two straight losses after a remarkable career up to that point in which he had been beaten just once in 38 fights, the WEC’s Miguel Angel Torres knew that something had to change.

The competition in the bantamweight division was improving, and being the top dog at his own gym was no longer enough to keep him at the level he needed to be at to stay at the top.

So the 29 year-old has changed things up, and the former bantamweight champion went straight to the top when choosing a new gym to call home.

And so he comes into tonight’s fight with Charlie Valencia at WEC 51 off the back of training camp at Canada’s Tri-Star gym, the home of pound-for-pound great Georges St.Pierre, and now shares the same coach as the UFC welterweight champion – Firas Zahabi.

Watch the video below, courtesy of MMAWeekly, as Torres talks about his new camp and how he believes it’s going to help him become the 135lb champion once again.
