World Series Of Fighting 6 Results

We’ve got all the World Series Of Fighting 6 results from last night for you below.

In the main event of the evening there was something of an upset as Steve Carl choked out Josh Burkman early in the fourth round with a triangle to become WSOF’s first ever welterweight champion.

The referee did a terrible job here, as Burkman clearly tapped with each hand while in the triangle choke, yet he didn’t spot it and so Burkman ended up being choked unconscious.

In the co-main event Marlon Moraes wasted no time in taking out Carson Beebe, knocking him out in just 32 seconds with a couple of counter punches.

Jon Fitch got back in the win column earlier in the evening, but it was far from a dominant display against Marcelo Alfaya as reflected in the split decision verdict.

Alfaya actually took Fitch down in the first round and was threatening him with submissions, but the second round was closer and Fitch’s conditioning and workrate came to his rescue in the third.

In the main card opener former UFC fighter Dan Lauzon saw his five fight winning streak come to an end as Justin Gaethje punished him with leg kicks in the first round and then TKO’d him with a big right hand in the second.

Two other notable UFC veterans also suffered defeats in the undercard. First up, Miguel Torres looked a shadow of his former self as he wilted to the canvas under an aggressive barrage of blows from Pablo Alfonso and was then tapped by a guillotine choke on the mat.

The 32 year-old Torres is now on a three fight losing streak and has just one win in his last five fights.

Just a fight earlier Jacob Volkmann was also handed a loss, coming up on the wrong side of a unanimous decision verdict against Luiz Firmino.
