It seems not just fighters who are at risk of being cut from the UFC’s roster these days. Word reaches us tonight via MMAmadness that both two of the UFC’s ring girls, Logan Stanton and Natasha Wicks, are being let go.
It may not be quite as sad as when they Rachelle Leah left or Ali Sonoma left, but we at https://mmainsight.com certainly had a soft spot for the girls who did a fine job keeping us entertained between rounds.
Fans of Arianny Celeste on the other hand can rest assured that she will be back in the new year.
We’ll have to wait to find out who will accompany her, though we’re keeping our fingers crossed that rumors that there is only going to be two ring girls from now on aren’t true.
We believe the UFC should stick to a simple policy when it comes to the ring girls – the more the merrier!
Both girls have since responded to the news via twitter.
“I just want to say thank you to all the fans and UFC for the support and the awesome opportunity! :)” – Natasha Wicks
“Although I’m upset I won’t have front row seats to the fights anymore ;) there are bigger and better things in store..
This was just a stepping stone! Time for round 2..” – Logan Stanton
If your still left wondering why the girls were let go then your not alone as it appears they themselves still don’t know.
“I hadn’t heard anything from anybody,” Stanton told MMAFighting.com. “They were promoting me and I was in the video game for next year, so I didn’t think anything of it. I assumed that they were just going to renew my contract for at least another year.”
“I was like, ‘Wait, what? Are you breaking up with me? It totally took me by surprise. Natasha actually texted me a little bit before I got the phone call. She was like, ‘The UFC just dropped me,’ and I was like, ‘What? Why?’ I was confused about that. So when he told me he had bad news, I was like, ‘Oh, I already know.’ And then he pulled that one on me. And I was like, ‘Wow,’
“I was kind of in shock at the time. I even said, ‘Ok, thank you. Bye.’ I was lame. I just said thanks. I really didn’t know what to say to him. I was kind of upset for a minute. I teared up. And after that, I just became a little angry.”
