Alexander Emelianenko’s Latest Win Leaves Some Declaring It A ‘Fix’

Fedor Emelianenko’s brother Alexander is no stranger to controversy in and out of the sport, and so it proved again last night during a fight in Russia that has left many observers declaring his victory a ‘fix’.

The 41-year-old Emelianenko was fighting a vlogger named Evgeny Ershov at REN TV Superfight Series and the veteran fighter looked extremely stiff and lethargic in the early striking exchanges and then appeared to be rocked by a series of punches later in the round that left him slumping down against the cage.

At that moment the ref stepped in and halted the action, leading many to assume that the fight was over. However, Ershov then stepped in and appeared to convince the referee to let them continue fighting, which they did a few seconds later after a touch of gloves.

Then at the start of the following round Ershov easily landed a takedown, only to then immediately get caught in a kimura from Emelianenko.
