A women’s strawweight fight between Amanda Ribas and Luana Pinheiro has been announced for UFC Fight Night 232 in Las Vegas on November 18th.
Ribas’ UFC run got off to a great start with four wins in a row, but since 2021 she’s had more mixed results, going 2-3, with victories over Virna Jandiroba and Viviane Araujo being sandwiched in-between losses to Marina Rodriguez, Katlyn Chookagian and most recently in June a TKO loss against Maycee Barber.
As such the 29-year-old Ribas has now slid to the No.11 spot on the strawweight ladder as she now prepares to take on the 30-year-old Pinheiro, who emerged from the Contender Series in 2020 and has gone on to win three fights in a row.
Along the way she’s defeated Randa Markos, Sam Hughes and Michelle Waterson-Gomez and is now just one place below Ribas at No.12 in the 115lb rankings.
Ribas vs. Pinheiro joins a UFC Fight Night 232 card that is still developing but currently includes other fights like Chase Hooper vs. Jordan Leavitt and Ottman Azaitar vs. Darrius Flowers.
