A rematch between Chris Weidman and Uriah Hall is believed to be in the works for UFC 258 on February 13th of next year at a location still to be confirmed.
If your struggling to remember their first encounter that’s because it took place outside of the UFC early in both fighters career’s some 10 years ago.
Weidman was undertaking only his third professional bout when he defeated the at the time 4-0 Hall by TKO in the first round to win the Ring Of Combat middleweight title.
Things had looked bleak for the 36-year-old former UFC champ Weidman earlier this year after losing five of his previous six fights, including four defeats by way of strikes.
However, Weidman has managed to get back to winning ways with a unanimous decision victory against Omari Akhmedov in August.
Now he’ll face an in-form Hall, who is riding a three-fight winning streak that’s seem him KO Bevon Lewis, claim a split decision win over Antonio Carlos Jr and most recently TKO Anderson Silva.
Weidman vs. Hall II joins a UFC 258 that is set to be headlined by a welterweight title fight between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns, while Maycee Barber vs. Alexa Grasso is also scheduled for the pay-per-view event.
