Dana White Contender Series Season 3 Episode 4 Results

The 4th episode of the latest season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series took place last night and resulted in four more fighters being awarded UFC contracts.

Antonio Arroyo previously fought on the Brazilian version of the show and was determined to secure a contract this time around in his middleweight fight with Stephen Regman.

He did just that in the second round as he first knocked Regman down with a head kick, then got on top and managed to work for an arm-triangle choke finish at the 3.31min mark.

In the co-main event, Ode Osbourne won his spot in the UFC after claiming a first round submission victory over Armando Villareal.

After winning the early striking battle, Osbourne found himself being taken down by Villareal, but that gave him a chance to show off his submission skills as he saw the opportunity to set-up an armbar and finished with only 21 seconds of the first round remaining.

Heavyweight fighter Don’Tale Mayes was also awarded a UFC contract after his TKO victory just one second before the end of the first round against Ricardo Prasel.

This was Mayes third appearance on the Contender Series and he racked up his second victory after dropping Prasel with a left hand late in the round and then following up with more strikes for the last-gasp stoppage victory.

Brendan Allen was the final fighter to be awarded a UFC contract on the night after he took just 3.23mins to finish Aaron Jeffrey with a rear-naked choke after initially having dropped him with a knee.

The only winner not to earn a contract on the night was Kevin Syler, who enjoyed a comfortable unanimous decision victory over Lance Lawrence, but the fact that he’d come in 6.5lbs overweight for the fight ensured he wasn’t going to be signed up to the promotion at this stage.
