The third week of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series took place last night and saw two new fighters earning a UFC contract.
Light-heavyweight fighter Karl Roberson booked his spot in the UFC in the blink of an eye, taking just 15 seconds to TKO Ryan Spann after landing a series of elbows from the clinch.
Also earning a UFC deal on the night was Geoff Neal, who had came in as a late notice replacement and found himself having to fight back to his feet after an early takedown from Chase Waldon, but then TKO’d him with a left hand at the 1.56min mark of the first round.
Elswhere there were too unfortunate injury stoppages, with Kyle Stewart earning a TKO victory early in the second round due to Jason Jackson damaged his left ankle, while Daniel Jolly had to bow out after the first round of his fight with Alonzo Menifield after having been poked in the eye.
