Dana White Tuesday Night Contenders Week 6 Results

The sixth week of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series took place last night and you can find all the results below as two more fighters were awarded UFC contracts.

Middleweight contender Charles Byrd became the first fighter to have won two times on the Contender Series after he followed up a victory just a few weeks ago with a rear-naked choke finish in the main event last night against late replacement Randall Wallace.

Byrd had to fight through some early adversity after being stunned by a right hand in the opening round and then taken down, with Wallace then taking his back and threatening with a rear-naked choke.

However, Byrd was able to successfully defend that, then get on top and control the rest of the round.

In the second, Byrd was now in full control and managed to get Wallace down, landed some ground and pound, then took his back and secured the rear-naked choke submission that would earn him a place in the UFC.

Co-main event featherweight fighter Grant Dawson also secured a UFC contract after he also notched up a rear-naked choke win against Adrian Diaz in the co-main event.

It was one-way traffic for the 11-1 Dawson here, coming close to finishing Diaz in the first, before finishing the job early in the second in convincing fashion.
