The 29th edition of Dana White’s Contender Series last night led to four more fighters earning UFC contracts.
In an extra twist, two of the fighters who earned those contracts are actually brothers – Louis and Orion Cosce.
Louis Cosce took the main card spot on the card and wasted little time making a big impression as he TKO’d Victor Reyna in just 72 seconds with a left hook and follow-up punches, taking his MMA record to a perfect 7-0.
On the other hand, his brother Orion Cosce had to wait until just 18 seconds were left in his fight with Matt Dixon earlier in the night to secure his own TKO victory after bringing his opponent down in the final round and eventually getting him in the crucifix position, enabling a series of unanswered elbows and punches to rain down until the stoppage.
Also earning a UFC contract was co-main event fighter Cheyanne Buys, who earned a clean sweep on the scorecards after bossing the stand-up action in her fight with Hilarie Rose.
Joining them in the UFC will be Josh Parisian, a Contender Series and Ultimate Fighter veteran, who secured a first round TKO stoppage against Chad Johnson.
