The fifth week of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders series took place last night with two more fighters being awarded contracts after their victories.
Main event light-heavyweight fighter Mike Rodriguez secured a deal with the promotion after he knocked out Jamelle Jones mid-way through the opening round, flooring his opponent with a flying knee and then landing additional punches on the mat to seal the deal.
Also earning a UFC contract was flyweight fighter Alex Perez, who also made short work of his opponent Kevin Gray, who had failed on a takedown attempt and then found himself caught in a d’arce choke that sent him to sleep.
