Maycee Barber’s next fight will come against Gillian Robertson at UFC On ESPN 6 in Boston on October 18th.
Known as ‘The Future’, Barber is a product of Dana White’s Contender Series and has so far racked up two wins inside the Octagon since being signed to the promotion last year.
She began her UFC run with a second round TKO stoppage of Hannah Cifers and she’s since followed that up with another TKO against J.J. Aldrich back in March of this year.
In total that takes Barber’s overall record to 7-0 and leaves her ranked No.12 at flyweight – an impressive feat given that she’s still only 21-years-old.
Now Barber will take on the 24-year-old Robertson, who claimed her latest TKO stoppage against Sarah Froto just this past weekend at UFC 240.
That was Robertson’s second win in a row, having submitted Veronica Mecedo prior to that, while in total she’s put together a 4-1 run in the UFC to date, with her other victories coming against Emily Whitmore and Molly McCann, leaving her with an overall 7-3 career record.
Barber vs. Robertson is expected to join a UFC On ESPN 6 card that will be headlined by Chris Weidman’s light-heavyweight debut against Dominick Reyes.
