In his latest post on social media, Nate Diaz appears to be suggesting he may be plotting a move into boxing in 2018.
“Ufc offered me title fight in any weight class Im kool though I’ll givem a shot when they do something good On to the next sport for now ,” Diaz wrote on Twitter.
Its been heavily rumored that last month the UFC were attempting to make a fight between Diaz and welterweight champion Tyron Woodley to serve as the main event for the end-of-year UFC 219 event in Las Vegas.
However, those talks appeared to break down when it emerged that Diaz was looking to leverage the record-breaking pay-per-view numbers his two fights with Conor McGregor generated last year by demanding a $15 million payout for his next fight.
Diaz has trained with trained with high-level boxers like Andre Ward over the years, so from that perspective a move over to ‘The Sweet Science’ may hold some appeal for him.
However, it remains to be seen whether he is really serious about this, or if it is just a ploy to pressure the UFC into give him a favorable deal as there’s no guarantee he would walk straight into a big money fight over in the boxing ring either.
