Paulo Costa Vs Uriah Hall Rebooked For UFC 226

A middleweight encounter between Paulo Costa and Uriah Hall has been rebooked for UFC 226 in Las Vegas on July 7th after the Brazilian pulled out of their originally scheduled UFC Fight Night 128 event due to a bicep injury.

The 26-year-old Costa is one of the 185lb division’s most promising rising stars, having racked up three victories in a row due to strikes since joining the UFC last year.

It all began with a first round TKO win over Gareth McLellan in March of 2017, followed by a knockout finish against Oluwale Bamgbose and then his most high-profile win to date, TKO’ing Johny Hendricks at UFC 217 last November.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Hall emerged with a TKO victory over Krzysztof Jotko back at UFC Fight Night 116 in September of last year, bringing an end to a three-fight losing streak against Robert Whittaker, Derek Brunson and Gegard Mousasi.

However, Hall has suffered a major setback since when he was reported to have passed out while attempting to make weight for a fight against Vitor Belfort back in January, with the fighter later claiming that he’d suffered a ‘slight heart attack’ and mini-seizure.

Costa Vs Hall joins a UFC 226 card that will be headlined by a superfight between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic, while Mike Perry Vs Yancy Medeiros has also just been confirmed for the International Fight Week event.
