After a two-fight stint in the UFC, strawweight fighter Pearl Gonzalez has now made the switch to all-female promotion Invicta FC.

There had been no prior indication that the 31-year-old was leaving the UFC, until a press release for Invicta FC 28 tday showed that Gonzalez has been scheduled to fight the unbeaten Kali Robbins (5-0).

A former gang member who managed to turn her life around, Gonzalez first entered the UFC in April of last year, where she was immediately lined up for a tough fight with rising star Cynthia Calvillo, leading to a third round submission loss.

Since then Gonzalez has also picked up a further loss to Poliana Botelho, leaving her with an overall 6-3 career record as she now looks to regroup in the Invicta promotion.

Gonzalez will no doubt be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Angela Hill, who also struggled to break through in her first stint in the UFC back in 2015, only to then put together a strong unbeaten run in the Invicta organization, which led to a title win and then an invite to return to the UFC.
