Rachael Ostovich’s Husband Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder As New Details Emerge

UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich’s husband Arnold Berdon has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as new details emerged about the alleged beating that left her with major injuries, including a broken orbital bone on November 18th in Hawaii.

“After a night out with family, (Arnold Berdon) punched me repeatedly on the head, face, ribs, making me fall to the ground,” Ostovich wrote in a petition which would grant her a temporary restraining order against her husband. “I gasped for breath and escaped thru (sic) balcony. I coughed up blood, threw up sev. times. Cracked orbital.”

Ostovich also revealed that this was not the first time she had been the victim of domestic violence at the hands of Berdon, claiming that he had repeatedly punched her on the legs on May 6th, leaving her with multiple bruises.

The 27-year-old Berdon is currently in custody in Honolulu, having been arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, though he has yet to be formally charged.

Prior to the attack, Ostovich had been all set to take on her biggest fight to date, going up against Paige VanZant at UFC On ESPN+ 1 in January, but due to the injuries she sustained during the attack she has since been forced to withdraw from the fight.
