Raging Al Iaquinta Puts UFC On Blast After Bonus Award Snub

Al Iaquinta once again lived up to his ‘Raging’ nickname last night after his impressive knockout win over Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 108 was snubbed for a post-fight bonus award.

UFC officials opted to give Mike Perry and Brandon Moreno the two $50,000 ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses, and when Iaquinta learned of the decision he ripped into the UFC on Twitter.

Iaquinta once admitted to trashing a hotel room while drunk after a win over Joe Lauzon, and by the sounds of things, last night he was looking for a repeat performance.

If the UFC were in any doubts as to why Iaquinta was going into meltdown mode, his next post should help clarify matters, telling them where to go alongside a Tweet from the UFC declaring the evening’s bonus awards winners.

Iaquinta had been out of the Octagon for two years prior to his fight this weekend after becoming unhappy with his current UFC deal, devoting his time instead to becoming a real estate agent.

That seems like a real waste as Iaquinta is now on a five-fight winning streak, including victories over the likes of Ross Pearson, Joe Lauzon and Jorge Masvidal in addition to becoming the first fighter to KO Sanchez.

That being said, his bad temper threatens to undermine his good work in the cage and he will have to be careful not to test the UFC’s patience one too many times are he could completely burn his bridges with the promotion.
