Steve Erceg KO’s Matt Schnell In 2nd Round At UFC Fight Night 238

Steve Erceg’s striking looked crisp today against Matt Schnell at UFC Fight Night 238 and led him to a KO finish early in the second round.

Round One:

Schnell pressuring and throwing out a few feelers. He moves in closer and Erceg lands a nice punch.

Schnell on the front foot again and they clinch up briefly then separate. Jab for Erceg as Schnell came up short with a couple of his own punches.

Right hook lands for Erceg. He ducks under a punch from Schnell. Another nice dodge from him. Left hook and a right hand behind it for Erceg.

Calf kick now for Erceg. Another jab lands for him. Schnell swinging gamely, but not landed much. Schnell has a cut above his left eye and it’s getting worse quickly.

Nice combo lands for Schnell. Erceg back on the jab. Another punch lands for Erceg but then Schnell cracks him. Erceg fires back and puts Schnell on his heels for a moment. However Schnell comes back into the fray and lands a hard right hook that hurts Erceg.

Schnell lands again. Erceg goes for a takedown, but then gives up on it as Schnell foils that attempt. Good one-two for Erceg to end the round.

Round Two:

Schnell moving forward behind punches to start the second round, but Erceg sizes him up and then throws a hard left hook that lands clean and floors Schnell, and that’s it, an impressive KO win for Erceg at 0.26mins of the second round.
